On the radio every day they are asking
us “If you have any news item, or see anything happening, please give us a free call at 416-***-****”. People, don’t be sucked in. Why should you give them
news absolutely free? Those reporters make a fortune every year on the news they
dig up, and you are going to give them information for free, not likely.
You give them free information. They get paid a big fat dollar for your news item, and you get squat.
We are constatntly hearing on the news,
that there have been record usages of electricity in the greater Toronto area, and parts of northern USA. I wonder why that should be. Perhaps it is because they are
always building thousands and thousands of new houses all over the place. It
could possibly be that that is causing extra usage of electricity. I guess people
in those new houses use electricity to keep warm and for air conditioning just like the rest of us, or perhaps the builders
are building them with no electricity supply in them, and maybe that’s why we are getting this astounding news that
there are record usages of electricity being experienced this winter. They never say "Mind you, there are now 200,000 more houses in southern Ontario than there were last year". I
wonder if a new record will be set next winter. The guys putting these news stories
together, and the editors publishing them, have got the brains of a rocking horse.
Have you seen those woosy soccer players
who take a dive to get a foul awarded every time they are touched on the field?
They should get those guys, and put them into the American football league or on the rugby field for a season,
and let’s see how many times they take a dive and lay on the ground crying there.
Those guys are a bunch of fairies. They are making a mockery of the game of soccer.
However, it is not only
the players who are to blame: the officials who organize the leagues and run them, and the referees, should put a stop to
all that eye wash. I am quite confident that if I was put on the field to referee
a major soccer match, there would probably be about five players a side before the game was 15 minutes old. I wouldn't
put up with all their ballerina antics.
So we get this guy round to replace some windows in our house, or do some landscaping. When he is done we pay him a handsome price for the materials and workmanship supplied,
right? And then we allow him to display his business board on our front lawn, advertising
his business for free??? Have you tried to get any advertising for free lately,
apart from sticking your garage sale notice up on the local lamp-posts? We are
so stoopid. I recently put a tiny three line ad in the local newspaper, and it
was published in two editions of the paper. The cost? $100.00. And what about all these T shirts and running shoes we wear every day, advertising Reebok,
Adidas, Nike etc for free. After Tiger Woods won the Masters at the age of 22, Nike signed a contract with him
for $260 million dollars to advertise their stoopid sportswear, and millions of us ordinary folk advertise their stuff on
our bodies every day for FREE. We have got to be so stoopid.
One guy came to my door last summer, and made me an offer. He wanted to instal a security system in my home. The system
and the installion would be free. All I had to pay was $30 a month for the monitoring. In addition, he wanted to use my front lawn to put up an advertising sign for his
company. I made a counter offer to him.
I told him I would have the installation done, and I would pay him $30 for the monitoring, and I would charge him $30
a month to advertise his company on my front lawn. The guy looked at me like
I was nuts, and walked away. You get the message?
Don’t let these guys make a sucker out of you.
We buy a new car for $30,000, and then we go to Shell, or Petro Canada etc.,
and PAY them $10 to use their car wash, which scratches the bodywork of the vehicle from bumper to bumper. We go back time and time again, so they can scratch the bodywork more.
We are so stoopid.
The huge corporations like GM, Chrysler, Ford,
and all the others build millions of new cars, trucks and whatever every year, and put them on the roads, capable of
speeds up to and in excess of 200km per hour, when the maximum speed limit on our roads is 100km per hour. Then the police set up their radar and catch us for speeding, or get into high speed chases which sometimes
result in innocent people being killed. Some of the idiots driving at excessive
speeds kill themselves. If they are that stoopid they deserve it. So why aren't all manufacturers made to put a welded block under the gas pedal on ALL vehicles which prevent them
from moving in excess of 100 km per hour. Wouldn't you think that is logical?
They should stop people using cell phones in retail stores and line-ups where
other people have to listen to their garbage. There’s nothing worse than
sitting in Tim Horton’s having a coffee, or lining up in the bank, and some idiot is talking (loud mouth) on his cell
phone, and making sure everybody in the place hears what a big shot he thinks he is, when we all know what a dumbass he is. The conversation may go like this: “Hello
Henry, it’s Kyle. I’m in the line-up at the bank sweetie. I’ll be home in about half an hour darling. Please put
the kettle on in about 20 minutes time. See you soon honeybunch. Kiss, kiss”
Why does work have to be a real pain, and people hate going every day, and
leisure time is so enjoyable? Why can we not enjoy our work as we do leisure
time? The way we humans have put this world together is a real joke. Is it right that so many people should hate their jobs and get so stressed out at work? and why are
supervisors, managers etc. allowed to treat their staff like pieces of dirt. I know for a fact, there are many. many
companies in Southern Ontario where employees are treated badly by their superiors. Why aren't all employers made to
make their employees aware of their rights under the Ontario Labour Laws? Why are companies allowed to put people in
supervisory and management positions with absolutely no people skills and no management training. Why does the Ministry
of Labour allow this situation to exist in our workplace? The MOL has large Posters which advise employees of their
rights under the labour standards laws. All employers should be made to display these posters in the workplace.
Why doesn’t anybody on that stupid “Judge Judy” program stand
up and tell her what a loser she is and what a big mouth she’s got? I’d
love to see somebody tell her to stick it in her ear. Then we would see that
these stoopid TV “Judges” have no real power at all when it comes to the law.
They could not have anybody prosecuted for telling them what idiots they are.
I am strongly of the opinion that all those individuals who appear on those fake court hearings, have to sign a contract,
and get paid a sum of money to hang their dirty washing out for all of North America to see, just like all the losers who
appear on Gerry Springer.
CRIME: on the subject of guns and knives. Toronto is getting like
Chicago now. Every day somebody is getting shot or stabbed in this city. I have written to newspapers, politicians
TV stations etc. The answer to the problem is simple. Any person using a knife or gun in any criminal activity,
or even threatening to use such a weapon, should have his or her hand cut off. By the time we've got a dozen of these
vermin walking our streets, displaying the fact that they are low life animals, the rest of them will get the message.
A Barbaric suggestion you say? Ask the families of those dozens who have lost their life in the past two years in this
city, or even come close to losing their life, and see what their opinion is. Also, how will you feel if it happens
to your son or daughter, brother or sister, mother or father? Similar treatment should be handed out to these grow house
operators. No questions asked - 10 years minimum in jail, and no time off for good behaviour. They should
have thought about their behaviour before they got caught. And if they weren't born in Canada, deport them back to where they
came from within 24 hours. The law in this country is so stoopid.
Politicians lie to us all the time, and then we cheer them on like they are
heroes.
Work and the Labour Laws:
One of my neighbours has been in the same company for over 30 years, right
here in Southern Ontario, Canada. Recently the company "temporarily" laid off 8 office staff. That allowed the
company to give those people no termination or severance pay. Then the company instructed 8 other staff that they are
each now responsible to cover their own work plus the work of one of the laid off employees, but they will not receive
any extra pay.
I have been in business management for over 35 years, and what makes me want
to pewk is all these fancy shmancy words and phrases they use these days. Why don't they just say what they mean?
